About 90 web developers work in the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton metro area, at a mean wage of $39.10 an hour, which is $8.39 below the US mean of $47.49 [1] [2]. Another 90 people work there as web and digital interface designers, at $43.33 an hour [3]. For a metro named after three cities, that is a short bench.
Anyone who searched “web design lehigh valley” is usually weighing three options: a shop in the Valley, a larger agency in Philadelphia or New York, and an offshore team. We are the third kind, DigiStreet Media in Noida, India, and we price US websites in dollars. This post sets the Lehigh Valley wage data against those prices and says where each choice fits.
Lehigh Valley web pay runs about 18% and 23% under the US mean
The Bureau of Labor Statistics May 2025 survey gives these figures for the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA-NJ metro area [2] [3] [4].
| Job | People employed | Lehigh Valley mean, per hour | Lehigh Valley mean, per year | US mean, per hour |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Web developers | About 90 | $39.10 | $81,320 | $47.49 |
| Web and digital interface designers | About 90 | $43.33 | $90,120 | $56.49 |
| Graphic designers | About 410 | $29.31 | $60,960 | $33.92 |

Web developers here earn about 82% of the US mean, so roughly 18% less. Interface designers earn about 77% of theirs, a gap of $13.16 an hour, or about 23%. Graphic designers, the largest group at about 410, sit at $29.31.
The spread inside the metro matters as much as the mean. A Lehigh Valley interface designer at the 10th percentile earns $24.33 an hour and one at the 90th earns $64.86, about $40 apart [3]. When you hire a shop, you are paying for someone somewhere on that line, and it is fair to ask who.
These are wages that employers in the metro pay their own staff. An agency’s price to you sits on top of them, after benefits, overheads and margin.
Weighing a Valley shop against a Philadelphia or New York agency
A Lehigh Valley buyer often puts a Philadelphia or New York agency on the same shortlist as a shop in Allentown or Bethlehem. The usual pull is a bigger team and a longer client list. Neither tells you how many hours your budget buys.
We would compare the three options on the things that decide how the project goes. Who will design the pages? How soon can they start? Who owns the accounts when the work ends? Clutch’s 2026 pricing guide gives one national yardstick: US web design companies typically charge $100 to $149 an hour, whatever city they sit in [5].
Our guide on how to choose a web design company has the questions we would put to any of them, us included.
53 hours of a Lehigh Valley designer, or one corporate website
Start with what a local employee costs. BLS puts private-industry wages at 70% of total compensation, with benefits making up the other 30% [6]. Divide a Lehigh Valley interface designer’s $43.33 by 0.70 and the employer pays about $61.90 an hour, before rent, software, sales or profit.
Our corporate websites start at $3,300. Spent on that designer, $3,300 covers about 53.3 hours, a little over one working week, and you still need a developer to build what they design. At Clutch’s $100 to $149 an hour, the same budget buys 22 to 33 agency hours [5].

Clutch’s verified reviews put the average web design project at $38,105, about 11.5 times our $3,300 corporate price ($38,105 divided by $3,300). Most projects in those reviews cost under $10,000, so the average is pulled up by large builds [5].
Our US price list is short. Websites start at $1,450 with responsive layouts, the core business pages, a contact path and a CMS handover; the small business website page shows what that looks like. B2B sites start at $2,600 and add product or solution architecture, proof, an enquiry or RFQ path and core analytics. Corporate sites start at $3,300 and ecommerce sites at $3,700.
How a Lehigh Valley agency and DigiStreet Media compare
| Line item | Agency in Allentown, Bethlehem or Easton | DigiStreet Media from Noida |
|---|---|---|
| Budget | US agencies typically bill $100 to $149 an hour | Corporate sites from $3,300, B2B from $2,600, small business sites from $1,450 |
| Who designs it | Drawn from about 90 interface designers and 90 web developers in the metro | A design and development team that has delivered 350+ projects in 15+ countries |
| Talking to the team | Office visits and calls in your hours | Weekday calls 8:00 am to 12:00 noon Eastern; the build runs overnight for you |
| Going live | Clutch’s reviewed projects run about seven months | Three to four weeks for most business and B2B sites |
| Search visibility | Your Google Business Profile decides local ranking, not the agency’s address | Same, with monthly SEO plans from $750 that include AEO and GEO |
| Who owns what | Depends on the contract you sign | Your domain, hosting, code and analytics, written into the proposal |
| Support | Priced per studio | $300 a month and up for hosting and maintenance |
Three to four weeks to launch, with calls every weekday morning
Most of the business and B2B sites we build go live in three to four weeks. Across all builds the range is 14 to 30 days, and complex projects take about two months. Set that against the seven months Clutch reports for most reviewed projects [5].
The biggest factor in that timeline sits on your side. When the copy, photos and sign-offs come back quickly, the site ships quickly.
Pennsylvania and New Jersey both keep Eastern time, so the Valley gets our full call window: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon Eastern, Monday to Friday. In India that is 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm until US daylight saving time ends on 1 November 2026 [7]. After that the same hours land at 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm for us, because India sits at UTC+05:30 and never moves its clocks [8]. The design and development happen in our working day, which is your night, so changes you approve over coffee in Bethlehem get built while the Valley sleeps.
Your domain, code and analytics stay in your company’s name
Before any work starts, our proposal states that the domain, hosting, code and analytics accounts belong to you, along with the source files. If you ever move to another agency, Lehigh Valley or otherwise, you take everything with you.
Ask any shortlisted firm to put the same terms in writing. It is the one clause that costs nothing up front and saves the most later.
On a redesign we review the pages and entry points that already bring you visitors and plan redirects before anything changes, so existing visitors land on the right pages. After launch, hosting and maintenance start at $300 a month.
The US sites we have built are all for Florida firms
Medical Account Systems, at masrecovery.com, is an attorney-driven revenue cycle partner to US healthcare providers and has been since 1999. We designed and developed its site mobile-first, with every page leading to “Request a Consultation”. The Medical Account Systems website story walks through it.

For Solomon Cooperman Recondo we built a law firm website that adapts to every screen size.

Voting Portals and Santos Public Adjusters complete the US list. Don Gonzales, Marketing Head at Voting Portals, described our role: “From a simple email design to SEO, website design, digital campaigns and video production, they have consistently stepped in and delivered.” More client words are on our testimonials page.
Outside the US, our print and brand work includes the Kobelco Scoop magazine for Kobelco India, the Indian arm of the Japanese construction equipment maker, alongside its corporate website.

Local search in Allentown and Bethlehem depends on your own listing
Google’s help page on local ranking names three main factors: relevance, distance and prominence. Distance is measured from your business to the person searching, and more reviews with positive ratings can help [9]. A Lehigh Valley address on your agency’s letterhead does not enter into it.
What does count is your own profile, your reviews and site pages that say plainly what you offer and where. If you want ongoing work after launch, our monthly SEO plans run $750 for Starter (30 keywords), $1,100 for Growth (50), $1,850 for Scale (80) and $2,950 for Resource-based, which gives you two dedicated specialists. AEO and GEO, your visibility inside AI answers, are part of all four. See the US SEO and digital marketing page for the full scope.
When a shop in the Valley is the right call
Pick a local agency if the project needs bodies on site: a discovery workshop with your leadership team in the room, a photo or video shoot at your own premises, or a client who wants to shake the designer’s hand. Pick one too if a contract or procurement policy requires a US vendor.
If none of those apply, the work is the same on any screen, and the deciding numbers are the hours, the launch date and the ownership terms. We set out the general case in our post on a local web design agency versus an offshore agency, and our website development page lists every build type.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does web design cost in the Lehigh Valley?
Typical US web design companies charge $100 to $149 an hour, according to Clutch’s 2026 pricing guide, so the total depends on hours. DigiStreet Media builds websites for US companies from $1,450, B2B sites from $2,600 and corporate sites from $3,300.
What do web designers earn in Allentown, PA?
Web and digital interface designers in the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton metro area earn a mean $43.33 an hour ($90,120 a year), and web developers $39.10 ($81,320), according to BLS for May 2025.
Is a Philadelphia or New York agency better than a Lehigh Valley one?
Not by default. Google ranks local businesses on relevance, distance from the searcher and prominence, so the agency’s city does not help you rank. Compare the team, the hours your budget buys, the launch date and who owns the accounts.
Who owns the website if DigiStreet Media builds it?
You do. The domain, hosting, code, analytics accounts and source files are in your company’s name, and the proposal says so before work begins.
What time can I reach DigiStreet Media from the Lehigh Valley?
From 8:00 am to 12:00 noon Eastern, Monday to Friday. Those hours stay the same for you all year.
How long does a B2B website take?
Most B2B sites go live in three to four weeks. Complex builds take about two months, and fast content and approvals shorten either.
