Search Console now reports how often a site is shown inside Google’s generative AI features. For Pravek Kalp, an Ayurveda ecommerce store, that figure is 84.4K impressions across roughly four months of reporting. This is what sits behind it, and what the number can and cannot tell you.
Client: pravek.com
Ask Google what an Ayurvedic formulation is for, how it is taken, or whether it suits a condition, and more and more often the first thing on the page is a generated answer with its sources beside it. In a category where nearly every purchase starts with a question, that is where the buyer’s first impression is formed.
A store can rank well and still be missing from that answer. It can also be in it and never know. Until Search Console added this report there was no first-party way to see either.
GEO here was not a second set of pages. It was a stricter standard for the same ones: one question per page, the answer in the opening lines, and claims a reader could check.
The Generative AI features report, still marked Beta, shows 84.4K impressions for pravek.com. Daily impressions began at around 400 to 500, passed 1,000 in the second month, touched roughly 1,750 on the best day, and have since settled at 600 to 700. That is lower than the peak and comfortably above where they started.

In the same six months the site’s total Google Search impressions were 932K and clicks 11.4K, and organic search now brings in more than 150 orders a month. We cannot tell you how many of those orders began with an AI answer. Nobody can yet, because the report does not connect the two.

It is a view inside the Performance report, marked Beta at the time of writing, that counts how often a site is shown within Google’s generative AI search features. On this account it reports impressions.
No. It means the site was shown inside an AI feature. The report does not give clicks, so it measures visibility and not traffic. We track orders and clicks separately, in Search Console’s web report and in the store.
Because there is no earlier data to show. The report holds about 125 days for this site, so the comparison window is empty. We are not claiming growth from zero and nobody should read it that way.
The work overlaps heavily. SEO gets a page found and ranked. GEO asks whether a model can lift a clear, attributable answer out of that page. On this account the same research-stage content served both.
Yes, with care about claims. Health content is held to a stricter standard of accuracy and authority, so it has to inform rather than promote to be quoted at all.
We can look at what Search Console already reports for your site, and at what would have to change on the pages behind it.
