JBM Group makes automotive components and electric buses. In the three months to September 2026 its site was shown 237K times inside Google’s generative AI features, around 2,600 times a day. Here is what that rests on, and how much of the headline comparison to believe.
Client: jbmgroup.com
Procurement teams and engineers increasingly open with a question, to an assistant or to Google’s AI answer. Who makes electric buses in India. Which companies supply a given component. The names in that answer become the shortlist, and it is drawn from sources the model can identify and quote with confidence.
In August we published what those answers were saying about JBM, and said plainly that there was no way to count it: Getting industrial brands named by AI search →. Search Console has since added a report that counts part of it.
None of this started from nothing. It sits on the search work that took JBM Group from 52,935 organic sessions a year to 329,261 in FY2024–25: JBM Group SEO case study →
Search Console’s Generative AI features report shows 237K impressions for jbmgroup.com over the last three months. That works out at roughly 2,600 a day, moving between about 1,600 and 3,700.

The line has a weekly beat. It dips at regular intervals and recovers, which is what B2B search does when offices close. The peaks have crept up across the quarter while the troughs have stayed where they were.
What the report cannot show is the wording of the answers. For that we still rely on captures, and the ones we hold put JBM among the leaders in electric bus manufacturing in both Google’s AI Overview and ChatGPT.

Totals are shown as Search Console rounds them. Daily figures are read from the chart or worked out from the totals, and are approximate. The earlier period holds about a month of data.
It counts how often a site is shown within Google’s generative AI search features. It sits inside the Performance report in Search Console, is marked Beta, and on this property reports impressions.
No. Search Console shows 237K against 71.4K, but the earlier figure covers about a month because the report only reaches back roughly four months. Compared day for day the rise is from about 2,200 to about 2,600.
The raw material is different. A manufacturer has capacity, certifications, tolerances and applications, and those are exactly the kind of facts a model can attribute. The work is mostly getting them out of PDFs and brochure language and onto pages in a form that can be quoted.
We cannot prove that it does, and we would be wary of anyone who says they can. What we can show is that the company is present where shortlists are now formed, and that its organic enquiries have grown over the same years.
If the report appears in your Search Console property, yes. Open Performance and look for Generative AI features. Read the daily line before you read the comparison total.
We can look at what Search Console already reports for your site, and at which facts would need to be on your pages for a model to repeat them.
